I had the awsome opportunity to photograph this great family this past weekend. We had a lot of fun in the park! Emmett got to be more interested in the leaves rather than having his picture taken! It was a fun time, and I look forward to photographing them again soon!

Thoughts On Re-locating

Here recently I have been playing with the idea of moving back to Shelby County to pursue my dream as a photographer. When I started my photography degree, I always envisioned moving back to my hometown, and starting a studio, so that clients in the Shelbina, Clarence, Paris, Macon, and Monroe City area would not have to drive an hour or more away to have professional pictures taken. As anyone who has started their own business knows, it is a scary thing to think of starting a business, and then not having the money come in!! I now have a family to support instead of when I first started this thinking process, it was just myself I would need to support. If I were to move my family to Shelby Co, would there be clients wanting to spend that money to have their pictures taken professionally? Could I build a solid clientele? Would my studio stay busy enough to keep me out of debt? These are all questions that I lie awake and think about at all hours of the night!!

After you have read this, think to yourself, what you look for in a photograph of your loved one!! Do you want something quick and cheap that will last maybe a year, or do you want something heartfelt, that will last a lifetime?? And then those of you from Shelby County ask yourself if you would like something like this close to home?? Ethan Decker’s Senior Pictures

I had a photoshoot with Ethan Decker Halloween morning!! This young man is a farm boy at heart!!! I for one am totally city girl!!! So photographing with Ethan was a new experience for me, and I can only hope he enjoys his pictures as much as I  have enjoyed getting to know Ethan!!! I want my clients to fall in love with their artwork they have helped me create for them to cherish for a lifetime!! So Thank You again Ethan and Lori, I had a great time spending the morning with you, and look forward to working with you all again!!

Brent’s Senior Pictures Continued

Mr. Brent forgot his jersey’s on the last senior photo shoot we did. So I made a journey back to Shelby Co. to take the second portion of his senior pictures with all his jerseys. We had a good time with these, I actually had to lie on the locker room floor, which I was told they had just cleaned. Lets Hope so. Enjoy!

Bowling Family Photos

I had a chance to photography Allen and Cheryl Bowlings family a couple weekends ago. We went to a few different places and got some good shots especially from dad who is hesitant to smile on occasion. It is a good thing I have grown up around the boys, because I got a few good smiles out of Allen.

Brent Fohey’s Senior Pictures

This past weekend I did a photo shoot with my cousin Brent Fohey. We went all aroud Shelby Co. to get some great photographs for his Senior Photos. We even did a little night session on a blacktop that hardly has any traffic, but we soon found out that there was a lot more than we thought. But we had a great time photographing throughout the day and night anyways. Hope you enjoy the slideshow.

Vince Luff

I had a photo shoot with 6 month old Vince Luff, and he was the happiest baby I have worked with. It was so hard to choose a select few pictures to put up of him, because there were so many. I look forward to photographing this cutie again.
